This past Thursday as the Trailblazers faced off against the Hanford Bullpups, Meg Gostanian made a lot of passes to her teammates, but one of those passes had more significance than the others. It was the pass to to her fellow teammate, which led to a score and allowed Meg to surpass the GWHS Girls Assists record. The previous record of 43 Assists was set in 1998 by Hayley Peterson. Meg, who still has two games left in league, currently sits at 44 Assists and will no doubt keep adding to her current record.
Meg is junior at GWHS and has played on Varsity since her freshman year. She is a utility player who contributes to the success of her team on both the offensive and defensive ends of the pool. The Lady Trailblazers are 6-2 in WYL and have already qualified for playoffs.
Congratulations to Meg Gostanian and her tremendous effort as a team player!
