Girls Soccer Adds Another Win, Hold Onto 1st

GW Girls defeated El Diamante 1-0 on Monday night. Samantha Blair scored on an assist from Emma Gomez to lead the Trailblazers past the Miners in a tight WYL match. The Lady Trailblazers are currently tied for first place in WYL with a league record of 7-2 and an overall record of 10-9-2.

GW Boys Soccer Show Supremacy

GW Boys & Girls Basketball

Girls Basketball – Golden West 36, Mt. Whitney 32 The Lady Trailblazers added another win to their record as they faced off with Mt. Whitney. Leading the scoring for the GW girls were Jessica Mathias with 14 points, Jordyn Street scored nine points, and Destinee Garcia chipped in with seven points for Golden West (9-11, 3-4).

GW Boys Soccer Tops Hanford West

Thursday night, the GWHS varsity boys soccer team beat Hanford West 3-0. Christian Ibarra scored two goals and Jose Hernandez chipped in one, while the Trailblazer defense held the Huskies scoreless. GW will face-off with undefeated EDHS on Monday night to battle for the top slot in the WYL. JV boys beat Hanford West 4-3.

Wrestling Ends League with Win over Miners

Golden West 40, El Diamante 34:  The Trailblazers landed pins in three of the final four matches to rally from a 24-12 deficit in a WYL win against the Miners. Chris Williams (138), Paul Hansen (152), Jeremiah Aquirre (113), Fernando Saldana (126) and Brandon Escalera (132) earned falls for Golden West. Cesar Delgado (285) won

Boys Soccer Teams Defeat Hanford

The Golden West Varsity boys soccer team took down the Hanford Bullpups 5-0 on Tuesday night. The Blazers received goals from Jose Hernandez, Christian Ibarra, Arnulfo Cisneros, Carlos Valencia, and Eder Martinez. The JV boys defeated Hanford 4-0. Ricardo Avila, Enrique Ibarra, John Hernandez, and Cesar Torres each contributed a goal in the win.

Girls Soccer Take Down Hanford

Golden West scored in the first half and that goal, with a strong defense, was enough to down the Bullpups 1-0. This adds another win to their already successful season. Erika Valdez scored on an assist from Courtney Haagensen in the eighth minute, netting the only goal in a WYL win for the Trailblazers against
